Mike Arcaro started as a body technician in New Jersey in the late 1960s and quickly mastered the craft. He learned the business side of the industry by managing the body shop at a Volkswagen dealership. Shortly after moving to the fast-growing Coachella Valley, he found an opportunity to bring his knowledge and craftsmanship to a business of his own. Mike opened locally in 1982 with the vision of creating a single location auto body repair shop that focuses on quality rather than quantity. For the first few years, he would write estimates throughout the day and perform the body work and paint at night. His reputation and business began to quickly grow. Today, the shop is run as a family business. His son, Michael, has the same attention to detail as Mike and works diligently to remain current in today's ever-changing industry. What makes Arcaro's Auto Body unique is the care and attention they provide to each customer and their vehicle because they are a local, family owned business.
